@ now there's a real *winner of a chant >>

“No more cops, we don’t need ‘em! All we want is total freedom”
“Shut Down OPD! Not the Public Library!”
U.S. Marine vet Scott Olsen recently had his skull fractured by OPD.

Pick another chant from the menu. I recommend you chant: “Politicians & Bankers, Liars & Thieves, We’re taking it back! We’re not saying please!

Occupy Oakland Prepares For General Strike As War Veterans Organize Day Of Action At Occupy Camps

Protesters in Oakland, California, are launching a city-wide general strike today that will include an attempt to shut down the nation’s fifth-busiest shipping port. The strike is expected to draw thousands of people to downtown Oakland, many responding to police attacks last week on non-violent protesters with Occupy Oakland, including two-time Iraq War veteran Scott Olsen. During the strike, protesters intend to picket banks, businesses, schools, libraries and any employers who try to reprimand striking workers. "What this general strike is all about is this: This is a call to working people, not only throughout the United States but throughout the world, to retract their labor. The only time that working people can gain the attention of the bosses or the ruling class,” says Clarence Thomas of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 10. “This is a fight back moment.”

We also speak with Boots Riley of the hip-hop group, The Coup. "This general strike puts some teeth to the slogan that, "We are the 99 percent. It’s that the 1 percent gets all of their wealth by exploiting the 99 percent,” Boots Riley says. “And we want to show people that they can take it back if they want to." Meanwhile in New York City, members of Iraq Veterans Against the War planning to march in their military fatigues from Vietnam Veterans Plaza to Zuccotti Park — the heart of the Occupy Wall Street movement. "It’s clear that veterans are part of the 99 percent. Veterans, when they leave the military, are much more likely to face unemployment and homelessness,” says Jose Vasquez of Iraq Veterans Against The War. “Many people are forced to re-enlist because they are facing a tough economic situation.” Vasquez says they are encouraging veterans across the country to join their local Occupy protests...

“Politicians & Bankers, Liars & Thieves, We’re taking it back! We’re not saying please!”

now that's a good chant - as I define who the above are. Most politicians & some bankers are obvious - especially those who voted for it & those who accepted the "Bail out" Join a consumer friendly Credit Union who didn't need Obama's pay off to his homies.

You best watch out for the liars and thieves...who divide and conquer. Many of the "rich" made their millions in a positive way, and many on the backs of hard working class. Be careful you don't generalize.

Socialism is NOT the answer. Lets take back our Republic, one nation, under God, with Liberty and justice for all.

In your opinion, what IS the final goal, the end game for OWS? If it's fascism, socialism or communism, you can kiss my ass!

If they really wanted to send the greedy 1% a message they would hold their protests on the golf course at the country club.

Re: the 99 % protesting the 1 % where they 'hang out'

Yes! Excellent point. An obvious point. The 99 % and the individual OWS movements are doing this all the time - more and more. Take another look, I've posted these two examples earlier:

Occupy Wall Street Protest Heads to Millionaire’s Row
Hundreds of protesters participated in a "Millionaires’ March" that wound its way through New York City’s wealthy Upper East Side neighborhood. They called for an end to the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few and sought to pressure Governor Andrew Cuomo to extend a surcharge tax on the state’s wealthiest residents known as the "Millionaire’s Tax." The march stopped at the homes of several billionaires, including John Paulson, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, conservative billionaire David Koch, Emigrant Savings Bank chairman Howard Milstein, and News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch. The march was organized by 99 New York, a new coalition of groups formed around the growing Occupy Wall Street movement, and included trade unionists, retirees, students and an activist brass marching band.
Occupy Fort Collins March to Wells Fargo Bank
Wells Fargo is the largest bank in Colorado

• 29 Sep 2011 - Bank of America announced plans to charge millions of customers $5 a month if they use their debit cards to make purchases. Bank of America got pummeled by consumers and politicians for introducing its plans for new debit-card fees. Most other big U.S. banks are steering clear of imposing similar charges.

Wells Fargo is testing a $3 monthly debit-card fee in five states!

The debit-card fees stem from a provision in last year's Dodd-Frank financial-overhaul law that reduced by roughly half the amount that banks are permitted to charge merchants for debit-card transactions. Merchants had long complained that they were being charged too much to accept debit cards, which are typically used instead of cash and checks.

Banks are expected to lose more than $6 billion in annual revenue as a result of the new rules, according to industry estimates.

The debit-card fees have sparked an outcry among politicians — including members of Congress and President Obama — as well as customers, who have threatened to close their bank accounts and move to other institutions.

Community banks and credit unions are tapping into that fury by encouraging consumers to move to small institutions that don't charge such fees. Bethpage Federal Credit Union in New York, for example, said this week it signed up 1,500 customers — twice its normal rate — since Bank of America's plans became public.

In a statement, Wells Fargo said, "We regularly review our pricing and take into account the needs of our customers, industry trends, the market competition and our cost of doing business."

• 17 Oct 2011 - Wells Fargo reports Q3 earnings rose 21%. That works out to be 114% Annual Profit!

• 25 Oct 2011 - 300 Colorado Homeowners Close Their Accounts at Wells Fargo!

• 01 Nov 2011 - Bank of America Cancels New $5-per-month Debit Card Fee!

OWS, march on bank - Googled for you
